Kristin Fisher joined CNN on 20 July 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise in space travel. Kristin's parents were both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since employed as a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the Trump and Biden Administrations on space issues. While there, she also covered impeachment proceedings for President Trump, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two attempts by the administration to stop the spread of coronavirus. Her extensive travels with the Vice President and the President included an official trip to Afghanistan, which she took with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin is also an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a business that specialises in documentary-style films with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
